RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The bicycle rental service is provided by VELAIBIKE S.L., Tax ID (CIF): B02761252. VELAIBIKE S.L. is the owner of the bicycles offered for rental, as well as all equipment and accessories supplied under this rental agreement.
1. Responsibility of the User
The person or entity using the rental service (hereinafter, the “User”) is fully responsible for the proper use, custody, and return of the bicycle and all accessories listed below. The User agrees to pay the applicable fees in the event of loss, damage, or non-return, as specified in clause 7.
- Waterproof panniers: €150
- Rear rack: €50
- Anti-puncture inner tube: €9.50 / Tyre levers set: €3
- Lock: €22
- Frame hanger: €20
- Tool bag backpack: €20
- Pump: €15
2. Condition and Return of Equipment
The bicycles and accessories are delivered in proper working condition, compliant with all applicable safety standards and guarantees. They must be returned in the same condition in which they were received. The User shall be liable for any damage caused during the rental period.
3. Custody of the Bicycle
The User must ensure proper supervision and protection of the bicycle at all times, especially when it is not within direct sight.
4. Theft or Loss
In the event of theft, loss, misappropriation, destruction, or damage, the User must report the incident to the relevant authorities and provide a copy of the police report to the company within 24 hours.
5. Non-return or Theft
In case of theft, loss, misappropriation, or failure to return the bicycle, the company reserves the right to charge the full replacement value of the bicycle and any rented accessories.
6. Compensation for Damage or Loss
The User shall be liable for the total value of any stolen, lost, or damaged equipment.
7. Value of Components
The value of components is established as follows:
- Brake levers: €150
- Saddle: €55
- Rear wheel: €125
- Front wheel: €100
- Brakes: €30
- Pedals: €55 each
- Seatpost: €30
- Other components: according to manufacturer’s price list
In case of theft or total loss, the replacement value of the bicycle will apply.
8. Late Return
Late return of the bicycle will result in additional charges based on full-day rental rates for each day of delay.
9. Security Deposit
A valid credit card is required to provide a security deposit of €200 per bicycle. This deposit will be refunded within 72 hours after return, provided the bicycle and accessories are in the same condition. The deposit covers potential damages, loss, or theft.
Both the rental fee and deposit must be paid in full and in advance, either by credit card or bank transfer.
10. Authorization of Charges
By signing this agreement, the User expressly authorizes the company to charge any applicable costs for damages or losses to their credit card, according to clause 7.
11. Use of Deposit
If the company needs to use the deposit, the corresponding amount will be charged, deducting the deposit already paid.
12. Compliance with Traffic Laws
The User agrees to comply with all applicable traffic laws and regulations and assumes full responsibility for any damages or penalties arising from their use of the bicycle. The company shall not be liable for fines or sanctions.
13. Assumption of Risk
The User acknowledges the risks associated with cycling and is solely responsible for any personal injury, damage to third parties, or property damage resulting from the use of the bicycle.
14. Limitation of Liability
The company shall not be held liable for any personal injury or material damage suffered by the User or third parties.
15. Assistance
In case of breakdown (excluding punctures), roadside assistance is available on working days from Monday to Saturday midday. Contact: +34 604 070 181.
16. Prohibited Use
Use of bicycles on the beach is strictly prohibited. Damage caused by sand will incur a surcharge of €200.
17. Jurisdiction
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the courts of Vilalba (Lugo), Spain.
18. Complaints
The User may submit complaints via the form available on the company’s website.
19. Consumer Rights
This agreement complies with Spanish consumer protection laws, including Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The customer may cancel the service up to 10 days before the start of the rental and receive a full refund by contacting caminosen@bicips.com.

- Use designated bike lanes where possible.
- Obey traffic signals.
- Use hand signals.
- Do not use headphones.
- Do not carry passengers.
- Do not carry unsafe loads.
- Do not hold onto vehicles.
- Avoid stunts or risky behavior.
- Do not weave through traffic.
- Respect right of way.
- Do not ride under the influence.
- Avoid poor visibility or bad weather conditions.
